ursula was born in the croft maternity hospital, sutton road , Kidderminster ,on sunday,3/2/1974 at 10.15 am. she weighed almost 9lb
8oz. when she was a toddler she had the most unruly
curly hair,as it got longer it grew into ringlets, she looked like a little angel. as she got older i nicknamed her bubbles.haha. she and sister rachel, and brother Adam went to st Ambrose's infant an junior school Kidderminster, and attended st. Ambrose catholic church, where rachel and adam made their 1st holy communion. Angela, and janet, their half sisters, used to babysit them when me and their dad went out.in 1980 we moved to ilfracombe, to work at the candar hotel. we lived in a flat above the hotel an ursula, rachel and adam started ilfracombe junior
school.then onto ilfracombe secondary ,its now known as ilfracombe art academy. ursula made her 1st holy communion at our lady, star of the sea catholic church when she was 8 years old, then made her confirmation there,at the same time as her sister and brother.ursula was in the ilfracombe brownies, and i still have her little uniform, then joined the sea cadets with her friend when she was in secondary school, on leaving school she went into catering ,as we all did at one point ,her dad was a chef, i was waitress/Room attendent, her sister,receptionist/barwork,her brother a
waiter /barwork,he also was a model for an ilfracombe hairdresser, travelling to competitions in london, etc. her sister Rachel, went to plymouth to study art and signwriting. ursula aslo modelled sportswear for a cricket magazine. so between the 3 of them ,they were all talented in their own way . she never liked to be too far away ,or for too long from her family. she met the father of her son,in ilfracombe and after some time, they decided to moved to weston super mare an she got a job in a hotel as a room attendent and her partner was in the bar,he also, for a time ,worked as a security guard. they seemed to have a good life while there ,going to silverstone to watch motor racing, trips in helicopters, holidays in spain. she did what young people do,worked and played. she fell pregnant with her son ,michael, and he was born on st. michaels hospital, bristol. on the 4/12/1997. she loved him dearly. her partner, me and her dad took so so many pictures of little baby michael and her, she was so proud. her and michaels dad eventually split up and she came back to ilfracombe, where she lived till her death on, 6/1/2018. ursula had an amazing amount of friends and pen friends, when going through her belongings, i was surprised to see a vast amount of letters from different parts of the world that she had kept , dating from when she was at secondary school an beyond into adulthood. birthday cards, christmas cards that we sent her through the years. its amazing and lovely to think she wanted to keep her family and her son, michael, who she was sooo proud of close, even just with cards.
