Gordon was one of the nicely fella's I have met, never had a bad word to say about anyone, as tight as they come but generous in so many other ways. My thoughts are with you and your family Jono, and he will be greatly missed. So sorry I couldn't make the funeral.
Have fun up there robbing people of their money Gordon, we'll all see you soon.

In loving memory of Gordon Hallam who sadly passed away on 13th January 2018
Dad was born in 1937 to Nellie and Reginald Hallam
He joined the Merchant navy in the 50`s , after a training course at Sharpness near Gloucester .
He was employed by the New Zealand shipping line and travelled all over the World for many years .
He met my mum Irene , who was a friend of his sister Kay , and after a romance they got married on the 26th of January 1960.
Children followed , and dad gave up his life on the open waves to become a lorry driver , where he met many new friends and travelled all over Europe and the UK .
Due to a bad accident in his navy days , Dad unfortunately had to retire early through ill health , and spent the rest of his days at home with mum , who he loved dearly .
Dad passed away in kings mill hospital after a bout of pneumonia , which triggered other complications .
He was very much loved by all , and will be deeply missed .
Dad leaves his wife Irene , two sons and two daughters . 9 grandchildren and one great grandchild
