Such a lovely lady that I had the pleasure of knowing and growing up with just across the rd
Calling for my mum on your way to work or laughing at me with my head under the bonnet of my many cars ..
Rest In Peace x

In loving memory of Valerie Bourne who sadly passed away on 11th January 2018
It’s a sad time for all who have had contact with mum, she was a wonderful caring woman, who even as Alziehmers took its grip on her, would still brandish a glowing smile. For those who truly knew her remember her as a wonderful mum, wife, sister, cousin, Nan & friend!
I always associate her as a dinner lady at Newhall infant school where she worked for as long as I can remember!
We as her children are always thankful for help she gave & always remember Christmas time as a time she & dad did all they could to make it magical!
She was always somebody you could go too for advice & she would often give you a wink & a smile to cheer you up. If we ever thought we knew it all growing up, she would remind us that “she had been on this earth longer than we had” & that made her more knowledgable.
She was a big Cliff Richard fan & we have memories of her sitting in her arm chair tapping her feet & singing along. Talking of her armchair, always in the corner of the front room, surrounded by knitting patterns, needles, wool, glasses & the latest littlewoods catalogue!
When she became a Nan for the first time she was truly in her eliment as she grew a close relationship to Charlotte, Videos of them 2 splashing in a paddling pool are a warm reminder of what a wonderful woman we have lost.
I’m sure you too have memories of her & we’d enjoy reading some of them if you want to share.
Gone but not forgotten, you touched so many lives. We love you mum, always xxx
