Steven was definitely one in a million. I don't think I have ever met a nicer guy, always thinking of others and never had a bad word to say about anyone. He always saw the good in everyone. In all the years I have known him he has always had a smile on his face and a wicked laugh. I loved his sense of humour and will really miss having those laughs with him. Now at peace I truly hope you are rocking up there Steve xxxxxxx

I only knew Steven for a short time when I was living in Coventry, and only recently reconnected online during the last few years. My memories of Steven mainly relate to his excited sharing of horseracing tips in the pub, I'll always remember the 25-1 winner he gave me, I think I put 10p on it. But what struck me about Steven was, he was one of the nice guys, a genuinely lovely chap. I was pleased to reconnect with him again, even though in a casual manner. So the recent sad news has touched me deeply. Kindest thoughts to you and your family. x

Steven was a good friend of mine who had a positive view on life and a brilliant sense of humour. He had a passion for history especially WW1 and 'The Somme' and would always have a story to tell. He had a interest in bird watching and photography and possessed a keen eye when taking photographs. Although he always used to tell me that he would love to visit Canada one day, sadly he never got there. My thoughts are with his family at this sad time.
RIP Steve you will be sorely missed, your friend Jason.
