Dan Thorley (Passed away 30 Dec 2017)

I only just saw this and I remember Dan so fondly, his warmth and wit at the songwriting retreat in Andalusia. Rest in a musical peace.

I saw these words today and thought they were perfect to share after going to the most beautiful send off for an absolute legend of a guy Dan Thorley you will be missed so much it's untrue.

Thankyou for all the laughs and chuckles we have had over the years ... so grateful to have known you nearly 21 years and will treasure those memories.

To Julia, Kate, Matthew and Rorrie ... your strength today was amazing and the love you have for each other shone brighter than ever. We love you all to bits and will always be here for you. Dan was ultimately the proudest husband and dad and he had every reason to be, you guys will carry on his legacy with all the amazing memories you made.

Yesterday we said goodbye to Dan
A fabulous celebration for an amazing man
A fitting send off for a great friend who touched so many people’s lives.
Adored by his family and friends and loved by those who had been lucky enough to meet him
We will miss your guidance, your knowledge, your wit, your humour, your honesty, your music, your company.........and so much more
Thank you for being our friend
What are we going to do without my mate Dan?
We are going to carry on and live life as Dan would have done.

I have such fond memories of working with Dan and will never forget his many wise words, his sharp wit and fantastic humour. He had such a fantastic way of telling a story, usually some hysterical set of circumstances, that could only happen to Dan.
He will be so missed.
