George is remembered by me as a kind, family man. I used to live nearby as a child, played with Tracey and Lorraine as children and babysat them. Children in Canterbury Close used to play 'George and Maureen' instead of 'Mothers and Fathers' in the 1960's. Could have been the aspirational 'Jag' on the drive but probably more that they were such a pleasant couple. Sadly also remembering Dave Palmer and Mike Mills from that time who have both also passed this year. My thoughts are with you all at this sad time.

Growing up in Canterbury Close as a child opposite George and his family and then in Marlborough Road in later years, a few doors away, he was always happy, friendly and welcoming when calling at his home.
Thinking of you all at this sad time and sending my condolences to the whole family.

George was a generous and loving uncle. When I attended boarding school near Devizes he made sure that he always was there to pick me and bring me home for school breaks and occasional Sunday outings. I will always cherish the love and the laughter that we shared.
