In loving memory of Margaret Ann Dickinson who sadly passed away on 23rd December 2017
Our Mum was one of the most fun loving people you could wish to meet. She loved being with people, she loved travelling, she loved shopping and she loved creating a warm, comfortable home, although woe betide if you sat on the cushions after she'd cleaned up.
She grew up with her parents and 2 sisters in Dorrington, and according to a friend who have known Mum's family for many years the 3 girls were usually to be seen out and about together in the village, and had a happy childhood.
Mum worked hard all her life until an unfortunate accident in town brought about her retirement at the age of 71. During their working lives Mum and Dad (David) spent a lot of time travelling around the country and her jobs included checkout operator (she always had the longest queue), shoe shop assistant, tea lady in a factory, and in later years, a cleaner for various large stores. Her favourite period of work was when she worked together with Dad running off licences in and around London, where they met some good friends and enjoyed the freedom of working for themselves. After this they bought a market stall in Lincoln selling toys which they also enjoyed.
Mum's other big pleasure in life was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren; they could always rely on her to dress up, be silly and join in their games.
So Mum you had a good and happy life and we would like to say thank you for everything you did for us and that we will always love and miss you. Nite nite, god bless, loves and loves and loves you!
Carol, Helen and Sue

Such a delight to have known and care for whilst at Brantley Manor...Will never forget her cheekiness and I'm sure she will continue to pinch people's bottoms and have that cheeky smile and witty sense of humour
