Anyone that knew our wonderful mum will know she had a massive love of life, whatever she did she did it 200% and always with a smile on her face, mum was never one for moaning and never one to turn down an invite - so much so we had to book an appointment to see her!
Mum didn't want it to be widely known that she was diagnosed with cancer in late August, she was going through Chemotherapy and doing it with the usual smile on her face, her determination to beat it was paramount. Mum was responding brilliantly to treatment but without warning mum had a sudden change and two weeks, five days later she passed away peacefully to be with our dad.
Mums wishes will be carried out and as such we would like to invite you to her funeral, her final hurrah. Her funeral will be at All Saints Church (Church Road, Hartley, DA3 8DY) on Monday 15th January 2018 at 11:00 to be followed by her burial there and the wonderful Reverend Jim Fletcher will be conducting the service. Her wake will be held at Hartley Country Club from 13:00.
Mum was traditional in her views in regard to funerals so we ask for funeral dress please. Flowers will be coming from the immediate family only so we ask for any donations to Make A Wish Foundation for children with terminal illness or perhaps The Brain Tumour Charity.
