In loving memory of Peter John Henry, who sadly passed away on 9th December 2017, the family would ask that people attending the funeral did not wear black and would prefer floral tributes from family only. In the place of floral tributes the family would appreciate donations to Dementia UK where possible. Dementia UK fund the valuable services of Admiral Nurses, free of charge to sufferers and carers alike.

Peter was diagnosed with Alzheimers 3 years ago, although he had showed signs of this dreadful disease several years earlier. He entered into a nursing home 18 months ago(Eliot House, Morton,Gainsborough) where the care he received was given with love. It was a 'Home fromHome'
Peter had progressively deteriorated over the past six months with serveral admittances to hospital. He sadly never fully recovered.

Husband to Karen and father to four children from a previous marriage: Malcolm, Susan (Sue), Neil and Keith. Grandfather to Emma, Rebecca, Matthew, Teresa, Christopher and Stephen and Great Grandfather to:Logan, Alicia Grace, Shaun, Leighton, Dylan and Leon.
Brother to Robert and his sister Lesley.
Father in Law to: Karen (Neil) Mo (Keith) & Hazel (Malcolm)

Peters career began as a butcher in his home town of Portsmouth, he then signed up for 12 years in the RAF serving in Cyprus, Libya and Skampton. After the RAF, he worked at Lindsey Oil Refinery before entering into a successful career in sales.
He played Rugby as a prop for Scunthorpe Rugby Club and had many happy memories (and stories from that time)
He loved music, especially Jazz building up quite a collection of LP's and CD's.
He ended his career aged 72 as an Independant Financial Advisor.
