In loving memory of the late Marilyn Susan Whittaker who sadly passed away on 7th November 2014. Marilyn was the wife of the late Ken Whittaker and recently the partner of Shawn Harris. Marilyn was a devoted daughter to Jean and the late Vic and beloved sister to Neil and his wife Chris.

Marilyn was a well-loved and highly thought of member of the community in Sinfin where she lived for over 40 years. She was a friendly and caring neighbor and worked in the local supermarket, Asda for 20 years and then at the Wilson's pharmacy in Sinfin.

She will be remembered for her warm smile and kind nature and playful sense of humour. Please feel free to leave a comment or a memory on this site.

Details of the funeral are on here as well. Thank you x

A person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts and minds, through us, they live on. Please accept my condolences, she will not be forgotten.

And what a great MUM she must have been too. I met her only once or twice so never got to know her that well, but have had the opportunity of knowing her son for many years, James and Susan I am so sorry for the loss of your Mom! I could not imagine what you must be going through! All my love to you both, Brent xx

Remembering all the great times we've had together over the years. Back when I was a small child I stayed with Mal overnight a couple of times - I thought she was so grown up and glamorous. We put on plays in the hallway of Bracknell Drive - she was the best 'big cousin'. Then after many years in New Zealand, we were able to meet again and generally pick up where we left off. Jim and I have been lucky enough to spend time with Mal over the years and she took us around on many trips and generally spoilt us. She is sorely missed by us both and we send our heartfelt condolences and love to Susan, James, Shawn, Auntie Jean, Neil and Chris.

Remembering a lovely lady, who was warm and caring. I remember her welcoming me into her home when spending time with her daughter Susan, I loved having a chat with Marilyn when I worked on the cheese counter in Adsa, & she worked on George. Marilyn gave us two beautiful people in Susan & James, she was a very devoted mother to them both. You will always be remembered Marilyn. Sending love. Xxx
