Carole Ann Barrett, sadly passed away peacefully in Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich on 6th November 2014, aged 75. She is survived by her husband Steve; children Kevin, Michael and Sharon; and grandchildren Emma, Kirsty and Daniel.
Carole was a loving wife and a dedicated mother and grandmother. She raised her children with passion and absolute dedication whilst pursuing a career for the majority of her time in the National Health Service. She was always the heart and core of the family. She was a very generous individual who loved life and attempted to live life to the full. Carole was an active member of of her local church and often volunteered for many things being especially close to her local Brownies for 25 years. Some pictures of Carole in her earlier years up until some taken recently can be viewed by clicking on her picture above.
A funeral is scheduled for 10am 3rd December 2014 at Saint Mary the Virgin Church, Welling followed by a cremation service at Eltham Crematorium. You are warmly invited to join the family afterwards for lunch at Shooters Hill Golf Club from 12pm. Reverend Kim Aston will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Carole's life. No flowers please, however, if you so wish, donations to Diabetes UK or The British Heart Foundation (links on the top/right) were the charitable organisations that had a very special meaning to Carole. Condolences can be sent to 13 Marina Drive, Welling, Kent DA16 3QY.
The family would like to thank all nurses, doctors and health care assistants at Ward 21, Queen Elizabeth Hospital for the professional and empathetic care they provided Carole during the last few weeks of her very special life.
