Allan was born into a large agricultural family in Clarendon, Jamaica and eventually moved to the UK at a young age in the 1960s, joining some of his siblings to create a new home in London.
Allan had a strong, hard-working yet fun-loving and larger than life character, he was a generous soul, whose friendship touched many people’s lives, not just family but friends and colleagues alike. Allan had a contagious sense of humour, zest for life and of course good times. He was certainly a Master of many diverse Trades, serving his family, his people and the wider community in many ways in the Catering, Construction & Maintenance industries. His cooking, autumn veg harvests and social networking were all legendary!
Allan’s inner strength, and of course love of growing and enjoying good food certainly gave him a miraculously rock solid constitution over the years. Since childhood he has fought and recovered from some astonishing life-threatening injuries and illnesses. Following his debilitating stroke and diabetes related illnesses, Allan once again defied all the odds for close to 3 years to continue to bless our lives in his own way, but this time, as the receiver of tremendous kindness and generosity of his caregivers.
Allan now rests peacefully in paradise, leaving behind his beloved daughters Merle, Tasha, Simone & Samantha, son Patrick, 5 grandchildren , 7 siblings and extended family to carry his amazing legacy forward who'll continue to ‘sow the seeds’ of generosity and kindness through service to others and live free-spirited and fruitful lives. Allan has gone to join 3 of his dearly departed siblings and friends for a good old laugh in heaven to watch over all of us free of any earthly limitations.
Rest in Paradise Allan, our much loved Life Companion, Father & Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, and Friend xxx

There will also be an opportunity for family & friends to make a charitable donation in memory of Allan in support of stroke, diabetes and nursing home care & recovery activities.
