In loving memory of Heather Cousins who sadly passed away on 11th November 2017 aged 79 years.
Heather was a District Nurse for 30years, The last 20years as a MacMillan Nurse again in the community. In 1969 she married Alan at Alexandra Hall Registry Office in Crosby and was married for 48 years, 20 of those years retired with Alan. They have three sons Simon, Jonno and David and nine grandchildren Kathryn, Becky, Jamie, Hannah, Mark, Sam, Rachel, Isacc and Jake. They lived in and around Merseyside until 2007 when they moved to North Wales. Where they had a holiday Cottage.
Heather & Alan traveled a great deal to many far away exotic places but five years ago bought a house in Central Portugal and spent six months of each year over there.

Heather was an excellent nurse, caring, thoughtful, kind. She always said the two following statements 1) “ It was a privilege to nurse terminally ill cancer patients “ 2) “It was as important to look after the family as well as the
patient “. If you look at those statements it tells you what sort of person and nurse. Up to the time of her death she was still in touch with some of the families of the patients she nurse and that was 22 years ago.

Alan and family, We are deeply saddened to hear about Heather's passing. We have only met you both a couple of times, but a greater lasting impression has been left. It is a great honour to have been able to meet Heather who spoke with great passion and love for her family and friends, and with such brilliant conviction for her profession. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh, he has certainly took the best. God bless.
