In loving memory of Martin Kirrage who sadly passed away on 1st November 2017.

Martin had 3 children Gavin, Bradley and Megan. He had 5 Grandchildren Anna, Olly, Oscar, Joseph and Noah. He was a quiet man that helped lots of people without wanting any praise for it. Although he struggled with his health, he would still try and help people out any way he could. He had a love of all things Beatles and, in his younger days, was a drummer in a band.

So sad to hear the news about Martin. His great sense of humour and wit will be missed. We enjoyed our little chats about life, his family who he loved and we will always valued our little jokes and opportunities to put the world to right! There will be many people who will miss Martin's smile and wit. Martin was loved by a lot of people both within our church and wider community. He will always be remembered.

We have continued to pray for his wider family. We pray that God's love and peace will be very real to you all.

Until we meet again Martin.

It was a pleasure to meet up with Martin again in April, in the company of other dear friends from more than 45 years ago. We reminisced and shared happy memories. It was a pleasure to have known Martin and to have shared a tiny part of his life. Love and heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. Goodbye Innocence drummer. May you rest in peace. Mxx

My darling brother, my best friend. You always looked after and protected me when I was little. Brought me little gifts and cheered me up when poorly, always made me laugh. You had a wicked sense of humour that not everyone saw, a rare personality. You will be so greatly missed. Love you to heaven and back bro, sweet dreams xx <3

Martin was such a lovely man I had so much respect for him! When ever I saw him on a Sunday morning we would always say hello & when I made it to church early he was someone that I always chatted to & I really enjoyed our chats. I would sometimes bump into him in town & he was always happy to see me so I was always happy to make that time to chat for 5 min before rushing around again, he was so caring & such a sweet man, it was a absolute privilege to have known him!

In the aftermath of grief, you start to realise how many different people had a special relationship with your loved one and how much he meant to so many other people. Martin was very special to us. My earliest memory of getting to know him more closely, was on a Norfolk holiday with you all. We were chatting in the kitchen over a huge pot of curry for about 20 servings, deciding which spices we needed to add next and talking about - yes - food and music amongst other things. We loved Martin.

  • Martin was an important part of my teenage years. I loved following him around when he was in the band. I secretly wanted him to draw my name out the hat when in fact Wendy was the lucky one! Fond memories that were relit earlier in the year when we met once again with all our lovely school friends. Time passes, but happy memories remain forever. My thoughts are with everyone who's hearts have been touched by Martin. R.I.P. Pat XX
