In loving memory of John Arthur Cook who sadly passed away on 6th November 2017

John was my 'love at first sight' This happened at a dance held in Witchampton Village Hall. We married and with two small children started living in Manswood, with John working in the forestry department of Crichel Estate. We planned to stay two years. That was over 50 years ago. John loved the woods and gave as much as he could in helping the family maintain beautiful forests for all to enjoy. Many of the trees you see today he helped to plant , and over the many years, maintained the plantations for maximum benefit.

We as a family are going to miss him big time. There are no words to really express our feelings at this time. We wish he had been able to overcome the problems he had with his health, but we know he is at peace now.
