I am sorry to hear that Michael Bramwell has passed away. Our connection goes WAY BACK in time – a couple of summers in the early eighties, but even though it has been SO long, the memory of Michael (and his wife and sons) made a big impact on my life. I came to the UK as a young girl from Denmark to visit his cousin Muriel, and she introduced me to Michael and his family. We ended up spending quite a few days together - I even stayed with the Bramwells for a week one of the following summers. I liked Michel from the very first moment. He was so hospitable, so welcoming … always so smiling and cheerful. He put up with a silly teenager like me and made me feel welcome and special. He took the time to show me around and thus made sure my stay was even more enjoyable. He made me laugh with his jokes and funny faces. It meant a lot to me and I am really grateful.
Of course it is many years ago and I have not had contact to Michael for very long, but it does not change the fact that even though a lot of special things have happened in my life since then, the memories I have of my summers with the Bramwells and Michael in particular, will ALWAYS stand out. It will always be in the top end of my list of big events in my life. Thank you so much.
Rest in peace - love from Vibeke.
