We have known Catherine since first arriving in Malta some 46 years ago and have kept in touch ever since. Amongst many happy memories, was when she and Geoff were godparents at Bryony's christening and also other get-togethers over the years when the Bonds and Childs families met up. Catherine's warmth, kindness and interest in our family will always be remembered; she will be greatly missed by us all.

We send our love to all,

Ivan, Mary and John, Hugh and Bryony and their families.

On many occasions I stood with my Mother staring out across a stormy sea and we would refelect on the dangers to those doing their business out there and of the bravery of the men and women of the RNLI who would risk their lives to save others when things went wrong. Mother never set out across an actual sea in a storm to rescue others .... but for certain she ventured into the storms of life to do her best to help others in need..... I lit a candle since it was all that was available .... but I would have preferred a firework .... like me, from childhood she loved them ... and they are all about life !

I am sorry that I cannot afford your lifeboat now but when I retire, in 3 years, I will have the time to do my sponsored walk around the British coast to raise money for the RNLI, in your memory.
