In loving memory of Emma Wakeman who sadly passed away on 15th October 2017.
Emma was born at West Suffolk Hospital. She went to St Gregory's school, Tudor Primary School,Uplands Middle School and Sudbury Upper School. She left school at 16, worked for Prolog for a while then she went to West Suffolk College when she was 17, where she studied Art & Design. Emma played Darts with her Mum and Sister Abbie where she met her now Husband Peter. She worked for Smiths Row Art Gallery in Bury St Edmunds. She did some voluntary work at the PDSA for a while before working for Avid Computers. She got a job at Prolog in their IT department where she worked for two years which set the ball rolling in IT, eventually ended up at Suffolk County Council as an IT Analyst and enjoyed working with her colleagues there. She enjoyed Astronomy and Astrology, loved weather phenomena especially thunderstorms and tornadoes and we are almost certain that if she had got an old Volks Wagon campervan which she also loved she would have gone to America to go storm chasing. She was also interested in Forensic Science, and spoke at one time of being a Train Driver for Freightliner. She liked going down to Languard Point to watch the container ships come in. She also applied to join the Suffolk Constabluary as a WPC, but due to her illness was unsuccessful. Emma was a quiet, studious, intelligent and unassuming girl, she loved her music, computer games, watching films, knitting and baking. Emma and Peter enjoyed their life together in Applegate Mews before Emma's illness. Peter and Emma eventually married in March at West Suffolk Hospital, they ended up moving to a bungalow in Bures due to Emma's needs, but unfortunately due to her cruel illness spent very little time there, and sadly passed away in Colchester General Hospital on the date mentioned above. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
