Janet Tassell (23 May 1968 - 9 Oct 2017)

In loving memory of Janet Tassell who sadly passed away on 9th October 2017. The funeral will be on 2nd November at 11am at Eltham Crematorium, followed by a Celebration of her Life at the Ship & Whale pub, Gulliver Street, London SE16 7LT (EVERYONE IS BEING ASKED IF THEY COULD WEAR SOMETHING PINK AND/OR BLINGY, EVEN A SIMPLE ACCESSORY!)

Janet was raised in South London and was married to Tomas for 13 years, and worked for some time as a Teaching Assistant for special needs secondary school children at Charter School. She subsequently worked at various 'events' in her role as Security, not least at Wimbledon during the 2012 Olympics as well as the skating rink at Bluewater, after which she joined William Hill as a cashier for a number of years.

Janet had a magnetic personality, and seemed to get along with everyone. She was able to defuse tense situations with relative ease, as she never seemed to show fear, just compassion.

She had a wicked sense of humour, often winding her friends up. She had the dirtiest laugh of anyone I met. Everyone will remember her vibrant red hair and her love of anything pink and/or blingy, as well as her fondness for her 'Me to You' bear collection.
