I would like to say a few words on behalf of my mum Claudine, Uncle Bobby's sister and her husband Allan, who are not well enough to attend today.

Uncle Bobby and mum came from a large close family of 8 brothers and sisters. Most have passed. Mum and Uncle Bobby were the only two remaining in England and they have a sister, Auntie Primrose in St Croix.

Like all siblings mum and Uncle Bobby had their ups and downs over the years. But that strong bond of family that they had from back home overcame those challenges.

Uncle Bobby cared very much for mum, his younger sister. A week would not go past without him visiting or phoning. When mum could no longer go out he would visit and bring her fruit and vegetables from Green Street Market where he worked for a long time. He was the first to visit her after her knee operations and was always there to offer support wherever he could.

A regular theme was visiting mum on Saturday afternoons and seeing Uncle Bobby and Allan sitting in the kitchen having a drink while mum cooked.

Uncle Bobby and Allan had a very close bond over the years. They shared many good times such as celebrating carnival every year.

I admired the family bond they shared, Mum, Allan and Uncle Bobby, and that cosy, comfortable feel of just chilling with family.

I remember Uncle Bobby always cheerful and with a weird wacky sense of humour that my mum would roll her eyes at. He made me and my children, especially my son Zack laugh, when he said to him "hello Ginger". Zack got very confused (he is not ginger) Zack would always laugh because he also has that gift of cheering others up by being funny.

On behalf of my sisters, Surya, Pauline and Claire, we thank you Uncle Bobby for caring for mum, we will miss you.

On Behalf of mum (and Allan) she would say, "good bye brother, until we meet again, Good Bless You and Keep You".

So many fond memories of Mr Bob from when I was a child. He was friends with my late father and our families were often together. He would come round to our house and keep his finger on the doorbell until we answered the door. We, as kids would always know we were in for some fun, when we heard that distinctive doorbell sound. RIP Mr Bob.
I know you and my Dad are having a blast, once again. Thinking of the Josiah family at this time. X

It is with a heavy heart we say farewell our beloved brother and uncle. We truly thank God for blessing us with his presence and love. He always kept us laughing with a story or joke. We will miss him, however he will be forever in our heart and mind. Psalm 23

I remember Bobby for always visiting his sister Claudine and bringing her sugar and coffee sachets, teasing her and making us all laugh.
