In loving memory of Anne Wells who sadly passed away on 4th October 2017. Anyone who met Ann will have a vivid memory of her. Conservative with a large C but great fun, widely read and travelled, she enjoyed a happy retirement in Oxford after her life's work for the Party. She made friends wherever she went, and several of those supported her in her declining years. She died peacefully surrounded by her own things, having got her wish to "stay put" at Shotover View, where she was cared by a wonderful team. Her funeral is on 30th October at 11am at Holy Trinity Church, Headington Quarry.
Ann was a strong character - fun, sharp-witted and very good company. She was a great hostess and it was always a treat to stay with Ann and my aunt Yanie. I cherish many happy memories of times with them. Rest in peace, Ann.
We knew Ann as she lived with Yanie, our aunt, and our grandmother. Ann was an extremely entertaining, and I used to love going up to their house in Chelsea when I was a child. Ann was a regular at family events until just recently, and it was always good to talk to her. She always seemed very wise, despite our total disagreement on anything to do with politics. Rest in peace, Ann

My cousin, a wonderful and generous lady and great fun. I have very happy memories of her and was privileged to sing at her funeral.
