So very sad to hear of the death of this wonderful man who had been GP and friend to my family for many years. He was a tower of strength upon the death of my father and had been such a help in many years to us all.

It was with great sadness that I learned recently that Dr Erl Annesley had died,I do not spend a lot of time in Nottingham so I did not find out earlier.
He was doctor to my father and mother William and Elsie Cope,to my sister and brother the late Angela Widdowson and the late David Cope and he was at the birth of my children.
Our paths crossed regularly on a social basis over the years.I well remember meeting him and his wife on a small Thai Island Koh Samui where we enjoyed a dinner together some years ago.
I have happy memories of our friendship business medical and social and look back with pleasure of being one of his friends.

Very fond memories of Erl and family. He became a great neighbour on moving to Rose Grove fresh from medical school I think. Great family friends, always fun and an honour to be baby sitter for Gillian and Jane.
