I post this on behalf of mum it's her favourite verse:

I used to think that, if alone, how simple life would be,
With just myself to think about-just me instead of we
I'd do the things Ive never done, but always wanted to,
I'd go to bed just when I chose and read the whole night through,
I'd eat and drink just what I liked and when I liked as well,
And leave the washing up till morn-what the hell!

Oh yes I'd have a rare old time with just myself to please,
With half the shopping half the cost,I'd live a life of ease.
But now I find I am alone and life is not the same,
Without you here to share it, it's just a dreary game,
The things I've never done before, no longer count for me,
I creep into my lonely bed just me instead of we,

It doesn't matter what I eat, I don't care what I drink,
And when Ive washed one plate one cup, I sit alone and think,
Of all the things you used to do to help my days along,
To make me laugh and cheer me up when things went wrong,
And though we had our ups and downs, I'd give the world to be,
With you again the way we were-just we instead of me.

Dad its so sad that you left us so sudden, but your illness was very short and you didn't have much pain. We were there with you in final moments and know how peacefully you left us. We will always remember the good times we shared together and that gives us strength during this difficult time.

You were the best grandad anyone could ever have. You have always remained a positive role model, and was like a father figure to me and my brother. You took us to many places as we grew up and we had some lovely holidays. We always enjoyed being in your company as you always had a story to tell and made us laugh. We are very lucky to have had you in our lives and will always talk about to keep your memory alive. We love you very much grandad. Sleep tight.... Angela Cordon xx

Goodnight to my loving Husband miss you very much, but thinking of all the good times we had helps me carry on. We met when i was 16 and shared 62 years of marriage and we had many happy holidays and and enjoyed all our time together.Lots of Love Always.
