Tribute to Mum from Tony

My Mum was not only a loving, caring, amazing Mum to all four children. From the day she married
my Dad to the very end she was the backbone of the family and without her we would have fallen
apart. My Mum had many roles in life all of which she was totally amazing at and made everything
look so simple. She cherished her family and with every single one of us she was magical with and
accepted everyone equally and treated us with love and respect.
Later in life I realised that Mum was the fountain of wisdom and in a gentle way she always
explained to me any concerns she had but never lectured.
One of the very fond memories I have of Mum is that Dad would put the wage packet on the table
each week which Mum was then in charge of all the bills. Then she used to magically make amazing
meals from very little. If we turned up at Mum’s house unexpectedly she always made sure our
tummies were full and that we were well looked after.
Mum loved to sing and had a passion for music. Mum had a great laugh and if she did not know the
answer to a question she would put her finger to her lips, look up to the sky and promptly give you
the answer.
Mum kept her wedding vows for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health till death do us part. After
my Dad passed away she was always repeatedly saying I do miss your Dad. In my heart I know that
she is now reunited with my Dad. Her faith kept her strong. May God now take care of them both.
My Mum is irreplaceable but I know that she will be for ever in my heart and also in each and every
one of yours too.

A lovely lady with a heart of gold who was always smiling - who saw the bright side of everything - with an unforgettable chuckle. Weekends at the caravan with Doug, Grandad and Grandma Mary when the kids were little are such treasured memories of a very, very happy time. RIP and keep smiling and chuckling up there. Much love and big hugs to all the family xxxxxxx
