Isabel Anderson was peacefully granted her angel wings on September 20th 2017, aged 71. Her final days were spent surrounded by her loving family and her devoted husband. Isabel was born on June 11th 1946 in Dennistoun, Glasgow. She attended Cranhill Secondary school and went on to work within the accounts department of Tennent's Brewery. She met the love of her life, Harry Anderson, in the Majestic Ballrooms in Glasgow. This union was blessed with 5 children and 8 grandchildren. Isabel truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures: her morning crossword puzzles, cooking up feasts for her family, spoiling her grandchildren, and laughing with all. Isabel had the uncanny ability to reach the hearts of so many. Her love for animals was obvious and she always had a furry baby tucked up by her side. As a result of her generous spirit and fun loving personality she was loved by many. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her husband, children, grandchildren, sisters, brother and friends. A viewing will take place at Anderson Maguire, 1083 Shettleston Road on Thursday 28th September between 1.30pm and 3.30pm. Friends and family are invited to 'celebration of life' at Daldowie Crematorium on Friday 29th September at 1.45pm following on to the Shettleston Juniors Club, Old Shettleston Road, Glasgow.

  • Shame you wouldn’t let her see them after abusing her kindness and getting her to babysit whilst you were entertaining Charlie 🤣

From when I was little boy coming to my nana Jenny's and having my auntie Izzy in stitches playing hangman where I put a movie down as ... a/rack/and/a/phobia right up until now being a man with my own little girl that she loved to bits, I had the best auntie in the world, I'm going to miss her so much.

I wish I could've got to spend more time with you but the good times we spent when I was younger I will never forget my Auntie Izzie. I will always remember your kindness and even more, your laugh. I can still hear it now. Now you are back with your Mum and your big sister Betty. Peace to all.
