In loving memory of Larry Hobert Farquharson who sadly passed away on 4th September 2017
Larry came to England in 1957 from the sunny islands of Jamaica. In the United Kingdom he build his life of Solitude working hard grafting in construction, learning various skills in the trade. But his real love was for the outdoors cultivating the land, farming to which he made a living as a young man which bought him a ticket to migrate to England. He returned back to his passion of cultivating the land in his retirement and therefore managed four allotments famous for his spinach, callaloo, pumpkin and much more, once again he lived from his produce! As Larry got older he reduced his allotments down to one, which he managed to the end.
1st June 2017 Larry's celebrated his 100th birthday, receiving an acknowledgement card from the queen on this special occasion. He celebrated in style with family and friends.
Larry married his childhood sweetheart but unfortunately the marriage dissolved but from that married he produced 6 children, 4 daughter's and 2 sons, he survived two of his daughter's and leave behind 2 daughter's 2 sons many grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. Larry will be sadly missed.
We Salute You Sir rest in peace 🌹
