In loving memory of Abbie, who sadly passed away on 17th September 2017 aged 29. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.

Abbie was diagnosed less than six months ago (in April 2017) with a Grade 4 Glioblastoma Brain Tumour, which currently has no cure. Before her diagnosis, Abbie was fit and healthy. She was a primary school teacher and an amazing mummy to her young daughter Freya. This can happen to any person - at any age and at any time.

Unfortunately, brain tumours currently get less than 1% of all cancer research funding. In the last two decades minimal progression has been made in terms of treatment and overall survival times. Along with this, the time taken to diagnose patients with this type of cancer is slow, because it is rare and shares so many symptoms with migraines.

There is a charity called the Brain Tumour Charity that aims to tackle these issues, but this can only be done with public awareness and support. Therefore, we kindly ask that if anyone was wishing to send flowers or any other gifts, that their efforts be focused on supporting this charity, helping others like Abbie in the future.

---

It was Abbie's wishes that her funeral be for family and selected friends only. However, if anyone wishes to pay their respects, please use this obituary to share memories, photo's or simply leave a donation as previously mentioned Abbie, her family and friends would be extremely grateful.

To the beautiful Abbie... I've been thinking for ages about what to write on this but the truth is I'm just lost for words. You were and still are such a special person and I will never forget you and all the memories we made together. You literally made uni for me and I'd run out of space listing all the adventures we've had over the years since.

Thank you for being one of my best friends. I love you and always will! Until we meet again wifey... ❤️❤️

Love Sarah and family xxxx
