Words are inadequate to describe the sadness in our hearts at this time as we say "farewell until we meet again" to Norma Marjorie Corrodus, age 87, who peacefully passed away on 13th September 2017 surrounded by her loved ones.
The dearly beloved wife of Louis Corrodus for 67 years, Mother of 9 children -Therese, Cecile, Steve, Vivia, Dawn, Stewart, Dave, Colin & Hilbert and precious Grandmother of 28, Great Grandmother of 20 & Great great Grandmother of 3.
Sister Corrodus, as she was affectionately called at each of the SDA Churches at which she was an active member, was faithful & true to her maker. Be it in Kingston, (Jamaica), Balham (London), Loma Linda (California), Orlando (Florida) or again, most latterly, in Balham (London), Sister Corrodus used her dedication to her faith and congregation to teach her children, grands, greats & great-greats how to love & humbly serve the Lord, Our creator.
Norma had a love for playing the piano & organ... Even though she had arthritic hands, she continued to take weekly lessons & played both instruments so beautifully.
In addition, she took classes to further her education... she always strived for the utmost & never made any obstacles (age, illnesses, weather, transportation) become a distraction. After years of dedication & commitment, she ultimately received numerous certifications in multiple courses.
She was a very wise & intelligent woman who held so much knowledge which was released as needed... our Queen always had an answer or explanation as to why things were or happened a certain way...
So true, loving & loyal to all who had the pleasure of being honoured with her presence.
The happiness that Norma & Louis shared was a very special, everlasting & profound bond... they've overcome numerous obstacles together & will forever be united as one!
We will all miss you & your sweet one of a kind smile dearly (that special smile), but we're happy that you're no longer in pain & resting peacefully until we meet again.
She will be truly missed by all of her family & friends, but now we will celebrate the beautiful life she lived...
