Uncle Mike may you find peace as you are now reunited with your sisters and walk with the Angels. Bet it’s not a harp you play though 💜

Uncle Mike, I have the best memories of you when I was small, the white van you drove us to the McDonald's party in, your moustache that I used to complain about when I used to have cuddles, you scooping me up for a hug when I was 6 and fell down the stairs. Been such a long time and we lost touch but these are memories I will treasure forever. Rest in peace Uncle Mike you were a true legend xxx

I’m going to miss your cheeky banter and awful jokes and the ‘ay up gorgeous’ every time I saw you. You were the life and soul of many nights out & partys, I also had the pleasure of you singing & playing the guitar at my birthday party I still have a great picture of you & Nick singing away.
My house is fully carpeted & looking great thanks to your hard work, thanks for all of your help getting us into some sort order when we moved in.
Going to miss you lots and that cheeky smile xx

Where do we begin! With so many fond memories & great times together.
We met Mick 22 years ago just after we first came to live here in Stathern, we instantly connected with him, he was funny, friendly & so easy to get along with. We were always drawn to Mick whenever we saw him, (usually in the pub) sharing jokes, good times & travels, always a warm handshake & of course the customary kiss & cuddle for Elaine. He always appeared to hold a special place in his heart for both of us, he was sincere & genuine.
I remember once traveling with him in his van. He wasn't concentrating & started to drift, curbside, which happened to be a tree line. I shouted "Mick watch out" quick as you like he replied "calm down I'm just cleaning the flies off the door mirrors" Always the joker, quick witted & funny beyond compare.
Gonna miss you old friend, the banter, the jokes, the concerts, the music, the laughs & the good times. 😢

Mick, such a caring man, he took me under his wing when I lost my beautiful niece Lisa. I will always remember the time we went out for a meal & he helped himself to what he thought was a bowl of nuts on the table unfortunately they were olive stones that people had spat out !!!
Couldn’t stop laughing all night.
RIP Mick 💔

The hardest part of losing you isn't saying goodbye, it's having to live without you. You made my world a better place X
I'm terrible with words, as were you! So here are the lyrics to one of your favourite tunes you sang to me which is you all over 💕

"I ain't got a pot of gold
Girl I ain't even got a rainbow
But I've heard that love is where
Treasure can be found
Don't expect too much from me
And I won't let you down

Never been ashamed of the clothes I wear
I've never been a nickel millionaire
Never even bought myself a truck

I spent most of my life in a smoky bar
Playing country blues on box guitar
And I've done alright
You can call that luck"

I walked into a pub nearly 20 years ago to the day and was greeted by Mick in his usual way! Plenty of insults and two decades later I can truly be thankful for calling my mate Mick a friend. They sure broke the mould when they made you old man. So many amazing memories that will never be forgotten. Happy to state, the best character I have ever had the pleasure of being able to call a mate, sorely missed but never ever ever forgotten. One in a million (& you will hate me for being nice about you I know) The end of an era, a legend forever
