3 years on... there’s still as big of a hole in my heart as there was the day we said goodbye to you. Your inspiration still guides me every day, I see you in so many things. It could be the smallest thing like, making mash potato that sparks a memory of you. But it doesn’t make me sad to remember you so often, it makes me content. The memories that come to mind at the most random times are the ones that keep you alive. And for leaving such a mark, that I can have so many wonderful things to remember, I’ll be forever grateful. And it’s because of these things, that you will be with us always xxx

Today we will celebrate the truly wonderful man you were. The reaction to your passing has been overwhelming which just shows how much everyone thought of you and how you touched our lives. Thank you for being the best dad, Tony and I could have ever wished for. Forever in my thoughts and my heart. We have always much appreciated the interest Dave showed in us. Dave would ring me up for a catch up chat from time to time, and we would exchange emails too. A great man.

Lovely charismatic man who always had a twinkle in his eye. I'd not known Dave for a very long time but he made me feel like we were old friends, and I played my best ever on the 18th at Sittingbourne with him too!

Will be so missed but I feel very glad to have met him. Best wishes to all of the Bess Family
