Jeffrey Robert Paling (10 Dec 1951 - 19 Aug 2017)

In loving memory of Jeffrey Robert Paling who sadly passed away on 19th August 2017 please join us on the 4th September to give dat the send off he deserves, we ask that you must wear at least 1 colourful item of clothing. Please also join us for fish and chips at the farmhouse hotel, mackworth after the service.

Absolutely heartbroken and devastated that we had to say goodbye to my best mate, my idol, my role model, and the man I've been lucky enough to call Dad for the last 25 years. We've shared some amazing memories together, and he's made me proud every step of the way, and I hope I can keep his legacy going and make him just as proud. He's been the most amazing dad to me and Sarah, guided us through rough times, laughed with us through fun times, and bailed us out of many a situation. He's supported me in everything I've ever done and wanted to do. He'd always do anything for anyone, and touched the hearts of hundreds, the kindest man I've ever met. He was lucky enough to meet Julia just over 2 years ago, and she has made him the happiest he's been for a long time, they've done so many lovely things together in that short space of time, and visited so many amazing places, memories to last a lifetime, and Julia will forever be part of the family. He absolutely loved the sun & his holidays, and I'm gutted the bastard didn't give me his tanning genetics. He was mad for a Friday/Saturday night out on the beer, gin, red wine & Bacardi, so please all raise a glass to my dad tonight. It's going to be tough to get through this, but I know he'll be helping me through it and telling me to man up! If I can be half the dad to my children that he's been to me, then I'll have done myself proud. He was a true fighter and warrior, and kept going a lot longer than most could have, 10 times a stronger man than I'll ever be, and I couldn't possibly be any prouder.
