I was sorry to learn that Ray had passed away recently. I have had the highest regard for Ray and his selfless dedication to the School of Pharmacy and the University of Nottingham. When I served my time as Head of School, Ray was there to provide continuity and to advise and make sure that I did not make too many mistakes. He was indeed ‘trusted advisor and confidant’ .
