It only seems like yesterday, but a whole year has gone by. Time has flown and I miss you so very much. We've celebrated your life but our family has an enormous gap that will never be filled. We know you are looking down on us and you are forever in our hearts. I love you eternally xxxxx

So very sad losing a friend after 32 years. All the fun and laughter every time we met, the tennis we played, the evenings we spent asleep at the table after too much wine, the camping holidays at la Fleche and Agay. All wonderful memories. Thanks for being my friend, Colin. May you rest in peace. Dave.

We have lots of happy memories of our time spent with you Colin in France. You and Yvonne were a key ingredient to a happy holiday. We all looked forward to your visits, staring with a “hello Bertie!“ followed by a cock-a-snook handshake. You’d give us all the news, about who’s done what, where the bargains are and when you were seeing the orangutans next. We loved all your jokes, especially our favourite one, “Why does he always call you Donkey?" and your man bag of tricks. Our cousin Max ended up with the exploding pen and your levitation trick had us all spell bound at one party. RIP, the Steers.

Dear CJ, thank you for always being there for us as a family, for looking after us and for treating my daughter like a queen. For all the fun times and the mother in law jokes - I know you loved me really! Oh and thank you for not one, but two TV's! Xxxxx

I grew up knowing you as uncle CJ. You've made me cry with tears of laughter more times than I can remember, we've had some brilliant times in France that I will never forget and always a real knees up when you visited at Christmas. You're truly one of a kind and I'll miss you so much.

Love
Lydia

Colin, when we met at Luton Airport all those years ago we knew we had a few things in common, but probably not how many good times we would spend together in the years that followed! Food and drink, golf at Polo Park, fishing in Orlando, shove halfpenny, music, your never ending quizzes, and of course our regular cribbage evenings :) We miss your afternoon phone calls every time England lost a wicket or conceded a goal. Anette has never quite known how to replace the hours you two spent after her shopping trips!

Our lives will be just a bit less interesting now you have left us.
