When I first met Jasper I had no idea he would become such a good friend, it was not long to find out that he had a special gift to bring the best out in his students, it was done with a sense of fun and the ability to laugh at your own misgivings.
Through Jasper I got to know Jaspers lovely wife Elaine and his family, having found out that we had a lot in common, with the same sense of humour we had a great time going out for meals, playing golf, and drinking Jack Daniels. I was later to find out his real name was Jasper Daniels "obviously".
Jasper had a great weakness for sweet things especially Chocolate, he once told me where he had put his cache which was on top of the kitchen cupboard thinking it was safe, some time later Jasper and myself was drinking JD when Elaine told us about a strange thing that happened in the kitchen when she noticed silver foil falling from the top of the cupboard, Jasper listening to this and holding his JD firmly trying to stop himself from laughing. Elaine saw the funny side to this.
Jasper has been a great friend someone I could always rely on, when I last Saw jasper knowing I would not see him again we had a good time talking over old times My only regret is that we could not have a final JD a drink we both enjoyed.
Rest in peace my friend
