searching clouds to find
listening to the Eve-song,
waiting for a sign.
Strolling miles by hedgerows,
tracing waves on sandy beach-
hoping for that something
I can see, but cannot reach.
Comforting-I heard you were content
as you departed
By your side-I held your hand
a daughter brokenhearted.
No matter where I search, Mum
there cann0t be another,
Its true there is no replacement here
for you- My Dearest Mother.
