I am so sorry to hear that Roger Betteridge has died. I was a legal secretary looking to pursue a legal career and was fortunate to be given a job as a trainee clerk with Sills and Betteridge. after a couple of years Mr.Betteridge walked into the office I shared and casually asked if I would like articles. He was such a lovely kind man. Very clever and shrewd, but kind and supportive. It was such a happy time and I could not have wished to work with nicer people. There are so many happy and funny memories. Thank you for everything. You will be missed by many many people.

Dear Mr Betteridge, you will be sadly missed. You gave me my first job all those years ago. I have such fond memories of our time at St Peter's Churchyard. Happy times and you were so good to all of us. Always remembered. RIP xx

So sad - goodbye Mr. Betteridge (RJB). A true gentleman and the best employer I've ever had. Very fond memories of our little office in the Glory Hole and previously at St Peter's Churchyard. Thank you for everything. You will be remembered always. Barbara & family.
