In loving memory of Nancy Anne Rodrigues who sadly passed away on 26th July 2017. Mum was born in Limerick in 1934. She married my dad Lance in 1960. I was born in 1964 and my brother Michael was born a year or so later. She lived in Dublin for many years then went to London where she met my dad and married.when we were young we all moved to Dublin. My dad died in 1976. Later at different stages we all moved back to London. About 5 years ago mum came to Gorleston to be near me and my husband Jim. She was very happy here and loved being near the sea. She was quite active in her religious activities right up till 6 weeks ago when she started to be unwell. She has one sister left in London and many neices and nephews.

She has requested that there be no flower donations. but if you want to make a donation to the charity that was close to her heart, then please go to jw.org/DONATE thank you

It's been a traumatic week. I can't believe how sudden things developed. It has been such a shock and I feel numb. There has been so much to do and many people to contact. People who knew my mum and the congregation have been so supportive and the words of encouragement and expressions of affection for my mum has been heart warming. She was well liked and appreciated as a colourful personality. I miss her being around....I always thought she would always be there. But I know there will be a time when I will see her again and can tell her all that has been happening. She will be the same old mum but she won't be ill or struggling like she was. Can't wait!!!

The sentiments on various cards have been so comforting and encouraging, highlighting what a faithful integrity keeper our Mum was and in Jehovah's eyes, still is, as he sees those who have died as still living as he has the power of life and death. The scriptures are clear, that whether we die or live, we belong to Jehovah. Romans 14:8,9
One card we received, reminded us of the context of 1 Corinthians 15:58, which talks about being steadfast, immovable and having plenty to do, as it starts of with the word 'therefore' which relates to the preceding verses, that speak about 'victorious' over death by means of Christ Jesus (Verses 54-57)
Mum was Victorious, and is an example for us who are still fighting. She will be proud of us for also being victorious .
Another Card reminds us to remember her ups and downs and words and actions, and good times and the laughter as this keeps her real and alive in our thoughts as she is in Jehovah's thoughts.
The best is yet to come and we need hope, faith, endurance and courage, which is the theme of next years convention.
We can hope to meet a resurrected Nancy as you have never seen her in your life.
We will never stop being Nancy's son and daughter.
