In loving memory of Pauline Morrison who sadly passed away on 26th July 2017
Pauline was a twin but sadly her twin brother died four weeks old and she always thought part of her was missing.
Pauline's mum and dad parted in 1925 following post war difficulties. She had four siblings and so her mum couldn't provide for them they were placed in a home until 14 years old. Pauline was 3 so childhood was very difficult.
At 19 during the war in 1941 Pauline married a handsome soldier in London where she lived and had four children, 3 boys and a girl.
They moved to Scotland in 1956 where she learned to become a cook by going to catering college.
Many happy years were spent in Millport on holiday fishing and cycling around the island. Trouble was, every time Pauline saw a car in the distance she promptly fell off her bike. Many skint knees later, lots of wild blackberries were picked to make jam.
Pauline retired at 59 and moved to Livingston where all the family lived to be closer to them and grandchildren.
Her favourite pastimes were tea dances and the many clubs she attended. She turned her hand to woodwork classes being very proud making a kitchen table.
Sadly the love of her life, her husband Jim passed away in 1994 but she was determined to keep his garden beautiful.
Pauline's huge smile lit up the room and rarely was without a happy smile. In her later years she was content to sit and watch the garden birds in her beloved garden.
She will be greatly missed by all her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
