Funeral Director
In loving memory of James Howard Booth who sadly passed away on 8th July 2017.
Jim was a keen bowler, photographer, wood carver and family man. He will be much missed by his wife Irene, Daughters Dawn and Michelle, son in laws Mark and Ian and his much-loved Grandchildren Zach and Kate, along with his many friends and neighbours.
Jim taught at Nottingham prison for many years before leaving to enjoy a Happy retirement with his wife Irene. During their retirement, they enjoyed travelling around the world particularly in India and Africa where Jim continued to enjoy photography. He was mostly to be found behind the camera which has made finding photographs of him a Herculean task.
Jim adored raising a family and delighted in spending time with his Grandchildren. He was the patient in Kates hospital, the alien or spaceman for many garden trips to the moon and made an excellent Thomas the tank engine noise. Building the garden pond with Zach, volunteering a school sports days, taking the family to Skegness and Bourton on the water provided many happy memories and kept him busy.
We have chosen Rainbows children's trust as Jim's charity as he hated to see children suffer. The charity provides support for terminally ill children and their families. https://rainbowtrust.org.uk/about. Bringing a smile to a child's face was important to Jim.
