In loving memory of Janet Ann Penman who sadly passed away on 15th July 2017.
My Mom was born in Ladywood, Birmingham on the 19/03/1941, during the Second World War, Air raid Shelters, and rationing were the "norm"! Mom's family name was Fitzpatrick and had Brother's Brian and Tommy and Sister's Cathy and Margaret to keep her company and they remained it touch until she passed.
She was married and Divorced with two children Paul( me) and Jacqueline. She basically brought us up as single parent as my Father couldn't be bothered. She lived with her Partner Jimmy for over 30 years( always keeping him in order!)
She worked for both Marks and Spencers and Cadbury World before retiring and going on many holidays, making new memories and laughs.
Mom contracted Colon Cancer around 2 and half years ago and battled on to the bitter end. We had many conversations throughout that period. But the one conversation that stood out that she was not worried about her passing, has fought a good battle and had a great life.
Only a couple of months before she died, I took her to the Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham to see Dreamboats and Petticoats the musical. She had such a great time, smiling away and she even managed to get her up clapping and jigging to the music.
Mom's greatest strength's were her Love, Loyalty and Dignity. She will be missed but never forgotten.
