Dennis Smith (7 May 1930 - 9 Jul 2017)

Passed peacefully away in his 88th year, Dennis Edwin Smith of Netherfield, at Eton Park Care Home in Cotgrave, Nottingham. Dennis was born on May 7, 1930 in Netherfield, Nottingham. Dennis is predeceased by his son, Kevin and survived by his wife Jean, son Gary (Libby), brothers-in-law Kenneth Beadles (Eileen), Barry Beadles (Elizabeth) and sister-in-law Doreen Moss and many nieces and nephews.
Dennis was a man of many interests including gardening, stamp and coin collecting and model railways and always enjoyed his special brew John Smiths. He enjoyed his numerous trips to Canada to visit his son Gary and had many fond memories of exploring several parts of that country with his family. Dennis will always be remembered as a quiet man who enjoyed the simple things in life.
Dennis’ family would like to sincerely thank the management and caring staff at Eton Park Care Home for their kindness during his stay with them.
Funeral service for Dennis will be held at Carlton Cemetery Chapel, Wednesday, 2nd August, 2017 at 1:40 pm. Family flowers only.
