I knew Barry from the time when, in recent years, he became our "Saturday Lad" at Eric Spencer's in Ilkley having been prompted by Rita! It was a most enjoyable (and fruitful!) experience for me/us. His calm and gentlemanly manner plus his cheeky sense of humour were a pleasure to experience.

I know that he will be greatly missed and I feel a strong sense of loss personally.

My wife Jennifer and I send our sincere condolences to Rita and the family.

Richard Rundle
