I don't have an "earliest memory" of "Auntie Doreen" (and "Uncle Ron") as I cant remember a time when they weren't a part of my life! Doreen was a wonderful friend of my late Mum's and as children we were allowed to call them "auntie" and "uncle" because they seemed to be part of our family, and we saw them several times every year - sometimes even holidaying together. I know they are together again sharing stories and laughing together as they did in life.

one of my earliest memories is visiting Auntie Doreen Uncle Ron Catherine and Elaine in Nottingham in the side-car of Dads motorbike. Down the old A1 with the steam misting up the plastic cover over Chris and I. on arrival having a good meal and looking at Uncle Ron's garden. I had been introduced to roses by my Grandad so i knew some of their names. You have always been there as part of my life growing up and seeing you on visits to Mm. I will remember Auntie Doreen for her smile which lit up her face and for being such a good friend to my Mum. We will all miss her.
