In loving memory of Benjamin Hopper, who passed away peacefully in Boston on 22nd May 2017 after a much-travelled and eventful life. Much-loved son, brother; father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Rest in peace as you embark on your final journey.

"To everything there is a season, and a
time to every purpose under the heaven:

A time to be born, and a time to die; a time
to plant, and a time to pluck up that which
is planted"

Ben Hopper was a loved dedicated, kind and supporting boss, friend, brother and father while he worked on Leprosy control in Africa for almost 5 decades. Hopper is well remembered in Ethiopia. He always wrote "Education is the passport in life" for his children. He is alive and most remembered in our heart forever.
May his soul rest in peace.
Amen!
Dr. Petros and his family.

Oh our mirth of Life is broken
Like precious pitcher on way from spring
Who will heal our shattered hearts?
What can soothe the pangs of pain?
Could we fly with our canary?
Would its melody spread a balm?

Adieu our dear uncle
We only part in the body
In the spirit we'll meet again
In that blessed kingdom
That blessed dawn.

On behalf of Archibong's Family,
As you join our father's sister, your darling wife (Aunty Ekanem),
Which you so loved in life,
We are consoled that you shall rest.

Adieu a shining star whose light beams in eternity's radar with mortals you show as the Daystar.
Now with the Angels, you glow even brighter
May your gentle soul rest in peace, Amen!

Mrs Nkese Eneyo (Nee, Archibong)

  • I will never forget Uncle Ben ,with his love of books and his cups of tea. Always a tease and his boxes of chocolates. I was so pleased I was able to take mum up to see him on my trips home, as brother and sister they got on so well. Will miss you Monica, Bill Lou and Tash
