Dennis Hughes (27 Mar 1928 - 31 May 2017)

In loving memory of a wonderful dad Dennis Hughes who sadly passed away on 31st May 2017, peacefully with his family by his side, at Wrexham Maelor Hospital, aged 89 years. Much loved and loving dad of Wendy, Leslie, Margaret, Derek, Beverley and the late Barbara, David and Marilyn, sadly missed by Rob and a proud grandad and great grandad.
Dad suffered a stroke and for the last 6 weeks of his life he was lovingly cared for by amazing staff on the Bersham ward stroke unit.
He was a kind hearted family man who had an infectious smile and wicked sense of humour. He would do anything to help anyone and welcomed everyone into his home at any time of the day or night! He was a popular and well liked character who was born and raised in Rhosddu. He spent hours in the scrap yard looking for spare parts and fixed everyone's cars in all kinds of weather.
Bringing up 8 children with our mum Margaret could never have been easy but he had time and patience for us all and we loved him unconditionally to the end of his life. We had the honour to have him for our Dad and will be sorely missed by all who knew him
