In loving memory of Romano Galelli who sadly passed away on 29th May 2017. Romano battled for 4 years with cancer and fought so much in the last 5 months especially, Our hearts are broken with his passing but he died peacefully during the early hours of the 29th May at Princess Alice Hospice. Those of you who knew Romano will remember his gentle manner and witty character especially with the ones he was close with, A loyal Gentleman with pride who loved nothing more than spending time with his wife Lydia, Children and Grandchildren. He worked extremely hard over the years to provide a wonderful life for his family and he enjoyed nothing more than his holidays, beautiful home and garden, fine food and wine and his biggest passion was mushroom picking in the Autumn. Even in poor health he managed to find the strength last October to find his porcini mushrooms in the forests with great success. He has left such a huge void in our hearts but our hearts are also filled with so much love and the memories we have of him that will last forever. Please feel free to leave any messages, stories you have of him and of course photographs you wish to share to his page. Best wishes, Lydia, Lisa, Marco, Jackie and Grandchildren x

3 months on Daddy and it doesn't get easier. I miss you so much. I was at your house today having a family lunch and not seeing you in your garden was a huge hardship. I feel you wherever I go , I still cannot grasp I won't have your smile, hugs and contact , it just doesn't seem real. Your memory is for others, it isn't for me. I won't allow a memory, you're my world and will always continue to be so!

I have so many memories of what felt like my second daddy Romano when I was growing up! He was such a caring, loving, funny man. He always made everyone feel welcome and I remember their houses always being full of friends and family. I will always remember the lovely food he cooked, stuffed peppers with anchovies was my favourite and I never got the recipe off him! Sitting having a chat over coffee and cigarette with him in the mornings! I have such great memories of him, one that springs to mind is him shouting at a flasher! (Lisa will know what I'm talking about!) I won't repeat what he said but often think about it in his voice and it puts a smile on my face!! My heart goes out to you all, Lydia love to you and please stay strong. Jackie, Marco and Lilly I am thinking about you all constantly and I am here if you need anything. RIP Romano the legend! With all my love Ali xxxxxxxx

I certainly remember Romano as a thorough gentleman who was kind and cordial when I worked for short periods for Pontis in the mid 1980s. May he rest in peace
