In loving memory of Derrick Parsons who sadly passed away on 21st May 2017.
Derrick a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many. A loving and caring person who was good company and fun to be around. Always joking, laughing and very mischievous.
A man who lived life to the full. He was extremely active and enjoyed many sports over the years. Hard working and well travelled, he was always looking forward to his next sunshine holiday.
Recently whilst chatting with the family when he was in one of his "Victor Meldrew" moments as we like to call them,
he was talking about the "old codgers" from Last of the summer wine and the old boys on the ward at the hospital; we asked how old he thought they were, his reply was 70! We all laughed and asked what did that make him? He just gave us all his big smile.
A character and a fighter to the end. Dearly loved and missed by us all, he is now at peace.
Derrick spent his last days being cared for with great dignity and compassion by the staff at Beaumond House. The family are very grateful to this wonderful charity and would therefore appreciate donations rather than flowers.
You are very welcome to join us for the celebration of Derrick's life.
