Today was a sad and happy day.

Sad in the fact that we said goodbye to Derry Jaap, but happy that we have been sitting in our house remembering the good times.

Personally it has been sad to say goodbye to a man I have known since I was 10 years old as Mr Jaap and for the last 30+ years an honour to have called my father inlaw.

Rest in peace Derry

We never got to meet the man himself but heard so much about him we felt we knew him, he certainly produced a wonderfully daughter Anne, he will be sadly missed by all his family , our thoughts are with you all and we will be thinking of you on the 27th when you say your goodbyes, love from Dave and Carole xxx
