So sorry I cant be there today to say goodbye to Ken. I have been thinking of you all so much over the past few weeks and remembering Ken.
One of my earliest memories of Ken is him changing the cassette on his brand-new-latest-technology-computer-console, I remember the screeching noise as the game loaded! As a child I was always amazed at Kens ability to complete a game, solve a puzzle and untie knots; and now as an adult I realise he was probably a genius- I don't think I know anyone else who can actually solve a Rubik Cube without taking the stickers off!
I will remember Ken for playing guitar at "Sing Songs" and always knowing random facts or the answer to an obscure question. And he always had a dry witty joke to tell if you took the time to listen.
A gentle fellow whose peaceful presence will be missed. And (without getting too deep) perhaps the space left is there to be filled with Ken like things; solve a problem, untie a knot, share a fact, play some music or tell a clever joke and Ken will be there with you.
Sent with much love and heartfelt hugs xxx

Ken became a friend when his daughter Abigail married my son Nick since then we have shared lovely grandchildren. When our computer was playing up he would come and sort it out and share a meal with us, so we had several enjoyable get togethers! We used to chat about our shared interest in Crystal Palace Football Club, also Radio 2 and especially Popmaster on the Ken Bruce show, we kept in touch via Facebook. John and I will miss him a lot.

Ken and I met for the first time in 1959 when we both went to Stanley Technical High School for boys... as happens we lost touch over the years but eventually got together again and would me up twice a year for our school reunion..Ken was always a happy guy with a sharp wit that often had our small group laughing,he was also a kind forgiving man,Ken was very knowledgeable in local history which he was always ready and willing to share..
Dear Ken will be greatly missed by our little group of ex Stanley pupils but we many fond memories of Ken to help us through this sad time..

I would also like to express my sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathies to family and friends on this very sad occasion..
Love from
Danny Harper

Here's dear old Ken strutting his stuff with the Krinkley Feet. Very sad to know he's no longer with us. He's rocking with the angels now.
