In loving memory of Elaine Gaynor Bradbrook who sadly passed away on 27th April 2017.
In the long, hot summer of 1976 Elaine Barker met Wayne Bradbrook and three years later they married. Their first home was at Shepshed in Leicestershire, but after only a year they decided to relocate to Sutton on Sea.
Elaine worked for many years in the knitwear industry, but following redundancy she changed direction and went into social care. This turned out to be the perfect career choice for Elaine, as her caring and compassionate nature was ideally suited to this role. Elaine continued this career and was on her way to work on 21st April when she sadly suffered a stroke, from which she didn't recover.
Elaine loved life. She was devoted to her husband Wayne and to her family and friends. She worked hard so loved her holidays. The Greek Islands were a favourite and she and Wayne visited many over the years. Elaine also had a passion for Cornwall and the Cotswolds, so these two areas were usually visited each year.
People have described Elaine as vibrant, special, loving, hardworking, caring, glamourous, fun (and funny), chatty and unique. She was all of these and more.
Elaine was genuine, sincere, loyal and was a truly 'good' person.
Elaine loved and she was loved.

David was lucky to have been cared for so lovingly by Elaine. He will miss her but has many happy memories of times they spent together. She is a person who truly made a difference to others and we as a family are so thankful she was part of our lives
